My second Blog Income Report is out. I was just reading a post on why some bloggers reveal their blog income while others just don’t. A little bragging some say, while others feel is to motivate others. But for me it’s simply sharing with others what I do – right or wrong so others may learn it too. I really don’t think one should start sharing only when he is making big money . Did you know that in John Chow’s first Blog Income Report that he shared with his readers, he made just $300.00?

Work At Home Blog Statistics:
- 183 RSS Readers (167)
- 3637 visits (3188)
- 7172 Pageviews (6,945)
- Technorati Rank: 37,658 (37,135)
- Technorati Auth: 115 (118)
- Alexa: 73,652 (80763)
- Inbound links: 13,500 (13,071)
Traffic from search engines amounts to 41% (43) while referring sites and blogs contributed 36% (34%) and 23% (23%) come from direct traffic. I guess I’m quite pleased with the search engine traffic and it shows that my seo work on this blog is starting to take effect.
Blog Income:
- Private Advertising: $50 ($12)
- Third Party Ads: $72.92 ($28.72)
- Reviews: $44.00
- Clickbank Sales/Affiliate: $30.68 (CBproAds)
- Clickbank paycheck (past mths/take earnings):$101.60
Total Revenue: $299.20 ($208.74)
Blog Advertising particularly private ads continue to generate my blog income and it’s my favorite means to make money blogging on blog, because it’s relatively simpler than others. Again I can’t help mentioning OIO Publishing for making things a lot easier for me to do so. I’d like to thank everyone who may have purchased advertising or contributed to my blog income one way or another. In fact, one person who did, recently joined this community and is now commenting on this blog. What an excellent way to get to know one another
Last month I mentioned my immediate focus was to increase my affiliate commission and I found an alternative to Google Adsense for this blog towards the end of February. Well it turns out to be a very good affiliate program after all. Just after one month I now have 6 affiliate members (1 paid) and it contributed $30.68 to my March blog income. It does live up to its Google Adsense Alternative name.
This month, I decided to take in the earnings from Clickbank after having left it there and almost forgotten about it because it was such a forgettable amount. But after having some sales from CBproAds, I decided to take earnings. I’ll just savor the moment in March, sort of giving me some motivation to do better in April. Here is a screenshot:

That is pretty cool. I've been doing quite a bit of research on monetizing blogs and have noticed how some people do share their results, some feel that instead of gloating, some people are “editing” their captures of their statements or just altering the text to inflate their numbers making more people think that their product or info is more worthy.
Personally, I like these better when they show realistic income. GJ

Peter,
The more I read your blog the more impressed I am. I have been so iffy about starting a blog and since I am new to how to do it correctly I have been tricking myself into thinking that maybe I don't need to. After visiting your blog and few other that I have read today I feel the confidence in me building so before the feeling disappears I am going to try it out with blogger first and when I get a domain name I will switch to the WordPress platform you and several others are using online. Thanks.

Peter Lee – I really like your honesty, and the idea of displaying your earnings. I would like to mention that if anybody is into selling physical things from their blogs, ebay PartnerNetwork has worked very well for me. I have made nearly $300 in March of my small website http://www.mybeachdecor.com, with an average of only 140 visitors a day. I think that's pretty reasonable, don't you?
I really do enjoy reading your blog, keep up the good work!

Is the reviews income for reviewing other blogs or reviewing products with an affiliate link to them? Click bank seems to have done well also it accounts for a 3rd of the total revenue earned.
April 4, 2009 at 9:30 am
@ Petra Weiss: Hi Petra, yes $300 is a good profit and congratulations on your earnings on your blog. Glad you like my blog, hope to see you 'round.
April 4, 2009 at 9:34 am
@Khaled: This month reviews cover solely promotion of their product and affiliate links. Thanks for dropping by.
April 4, 2009 at 10:55 am
Congratulations on your earnings Peter. Not bad at all, especially for just one blog. Keep up the good work!
April 4, 2009 at 11:16 am

April 4, 2009 at 1:04 pm

For those who still say that it is impossible to earn money from blogging or from the internet in general should take a look because here is proof that it is fully possible!
April 4, 2009 at 8:26 pm
@ Rahul Jadhav: Thanks for dropping by. Well it's not how much, although it's a good amount, but that it is making money that's more important.
April 4, 2009 at 8:26 pm
@ Tom Lindstrom: Thanks for your kind words. Yes it gives me some incentive to do more to earn more next month. But it's just a start really.
April 4, 2009 at 11:20 pm
Wow Peter thats a nice growth every month for you! Now that you have proven CBProAds do work, I am sure many more others will sign up with you.
Your traffic is impressive =)
April 5, 2009 at 12:35 am
@ Ben Pei: Thanks Ben for such kind words. But I think you are just being your usual humble self. I know your traffic is lots more and you make lots more. You just fall in the category of 'not revealing what they earned' group haha
April 5, 2009 at 11:37 am
Peter, I see you are using CBProAds instead of Google Adsense. Are you getting paid per click or do you get a percentage of the sale of a product?
-Tom
April 5, 2009 at 11:57 am
@ Tom Lindstrom: Tom, CBProAds is pay per sale (not pay per click). If someone joins the affiliate program through my affiliate link, I get 50% of his joining fees ranging from $19 – $99 depending on his choice of membership period, min 3 mths. If it's just a sale I get the normal sale commission from Clickbank. Here is the post that you can read more:

Way to go, Peter. Man, I just want to log in one of these days and see that someone actually clicked on one of my Clickbank products, let alone bought one. Anyway, now I have to chase you and Ben. lol
April 6, 2009 at 2:56 am
Hi Peter,
Congratulations with your new and improved income. You deserve it, you had put a lot of effort.
April 6, 2009 at 3:00 am
Peter, for what I have seen in others displaying their ernings, yours it is opretty reasonable since its coing from one single blog I suppose? the other guys are ctually posting the amount of some 3 or 8 blogs together not just single one.

Hello Peter, I am amazed at how you can manage to earn from your affiliate. For now, my major earnings come from AdSense but I am looking forward to seeing other forms soon. Don't have so much time because I do other work like content writing. I'd just like to thank you for sharing your experience. Congratulations and good luck.
April 6, 2009 at 9:19 am
Hi Peter, I wrote a comment congratulating you and everything but apparently there was a problem with Disqus. Anyway, that was a few hours ago and now I've forgotten what I said. Must be something to do with my age.
April 6, 2009 at 9:36 am
@ Mitch:That's good…yea chase me….well that makes me work even harder so thanks buddy.
April 6, 2009 at 9:37 am

April 6, 2009 at 9:40 am
@Sire: Thanks so much, it's the thought that counts. Actually you're still the master when it comes to making money on adsense. Your earnings of adsense was terrific. If only I have adsense to begin with.
