The Internet is a wonderful resource, where a world of opportunity is available. If you are willing enough and determined potentially you could create a new online business. This takes time and effort, however, it will be worth your time. In five years time you could be earning what you are worth.
In the beginning it is a lot of work. Being your own boss requires discipline, passion and dedication. If you enjoy what you do it is not work.
Here are some reasons to create a new online business:
(1) You are in control. You can decide what to focus your time on.
(2) Flexible working hours. You maybe more productive later on in the day.
(3) Have more time to do the things that matter to you. You want to travel more? Learn more about a certain past time? Become healthier? These options are surely better for you than making your employer wealthy?
(4) Commuting you can save money on petrol. Also when the weather conditions are bad, dangerous driving conditions can cost you more than your employer.
(5) You can earn as much money as you want. There are no limits on your earnings. In life, you got to realize that working hard for someone else is not going to make you wealthy. However, working smart on certain projects can make you better off. Invest in yourself, it doesn’t matter how hard you work for yourself, because you will reap the rewards.
(6) Multiple streams of income is smart. You never know what may happen. If your company went bust and your only stream of income was from that job. It is not a wise decision to place all your eggs in one basket. Although, society preaches you should get a safe steady job? No job is safe and our current climate proves that. Any employee is replaceable and employers will find someone to replace you.
(7) If you work from home you are more likely to be healthier. If someone goes into work with a cold or virus you are likely to catch it if you are run down. That is one thing that really bugs me, is catching other people’s germs.
(8) You decide when to finish work. For many, work feels like a prison sentence. When you have to stay at work for a number of hours. I know people that are clock watching and to me that is the worse thing ever. I am not a great fan of Monday mornings, but I look forward to the weekend. Although, I spent most of the weekend working on my blog, because I know in the next few years it will help me to succeed on the things I want from life. Follow your dreams and your goals but most importantly listen to your heart.
(9) You can wear what you like. Having a job is expensive, because you have to buy clothes and suits for your work and pay for petrol, travel in dangerous conditions. Plus it costs us a great deal of our waking hours during the week. Surely there are better ways to make a living?
(10) Maybe you feel that you are doing all the work in your current job, where as others are slacking off. You are probably getting paid the same amount in your office for doing the same job. If you are hard working and determined focus on a project that will benefit you. You don’t want to be carrying others. Creating a useful online resource will serve others and people will respect as your website or blog continues to grow.
(11) Office politics. Are you fed up with the brown nosers getting all the appraisal? They maybe terrible at their job, but as they suck up they are thought higher than you. It is not a way that I would exceed in my career.
(12) You could be generating some of the best work your clients are happy with it, but your employer will not give you a raise. Everyone wants to get what they deserve. So starting an online business will be the best solution.
(13) Go on holiday when it suits you not your employer. Holidays are your time. You should be allowed to go on holiday when you wish.
One of the major advantages of working for yourself, when you are making a decent living is that you should have more leisure time than ever before. Life should be about having a good balance, although in today’s world that maybe difficult. Depending on the level of responsibilities that you may have. Once you have the vehicle for a successful new online business begin marketing and stick with it, because later on you will be able to have more of your time.
However, I must emphasize that creating an online presence, takes a great deal of time. You are not going to generate lots of traffic over night, unless you are very lucky. Rome wasn’t built in a day, an successful online business should be a long term project.
In the lifetime of any blog or website you must focus on developing useful fresh content when the reader will return again. Focus on your audience and the rest will come. Start small devote an hour a night to your blog and develop this in your spare time. You will be surprised with the content that you will produce.
Come and be apart of this culture that will continue to grow in the years ahead.
