  • I have never hosted a blog contest, but I have entered a lot of the ones posted on SweepsAdvantage.com. They're each set up a little differently. From what I can tell, the sites are usually giving away promotional items that that have received from a sponsor.
  • From the comments posted on the blog If it is true and I think it should be true, than yahoo has misbehaved with its prize winners. Not expected from company like yahoo. It is a case of extremely poor PR, customer care and really cuts a sorry picture for yahoo answers team.

    I didn´t knew you already had your first contest. I also had mine frm Dec 2008 ending in Jan17 2009. It really boost your traffic, but if you do like mine it is very stressful and time consuming but worth it.

    I agree with you. But I still kept his comment as I just wanted him to explain why he said that. I think for someone who felt so strongly against contests should explain a little more. He may not have won any contests in his life (I have), but not sure why that would constitute a scam.

    So Tulip Whiskey Glasses, could you explain more as to why you felt all contests are scams.It's also a first time I've heard contests being called this.

    What a great surprise! I'm honored and thrilled to be the Grand Prize Winner in your first blog contest. I just returned from a wonderful week in Hawaii and didn't even go on the internet a single time...I made an agreement with my wife and kids that I would leave my laptop at home and not go online during our trip. Man, that was tough! There were a few moments during the trip that I was pacing back and forth itching to go online...but I took a few deep breaths and meditated...and the urge quickly went away. Now that I'm all rested and feeling great from a week of relaxation on the islands...I'm back here in San Francisco...online and noticing that I have over 1,000 messages to answer...as I was scanning my messages, I saw one with the subject line: "Blog Contest - You Won!"
