  • Thanks for this post. Though after doing some research I've decided not to go with OIO for now. For one, I think the benefit is probably biggest at a very high traffic site. And I guess places ads in the codes isn't that big a deal for me. The amount of time I spend on it is rather low.

  • Unless you are really making a lot from ads now OIO is not worth it as you can manage basic ads with a little work. Though the price is reasonable.

  • Hi Peter,
    OIO Publisher sounds like a good deal, but I am not ready for the move quite yet, still trying to get my head round the pricing target for the ads. And my Alexa rank and Google PR are not high enough yet. I read a recent post on Dennis Edell's blog about seting up a page for advertisers which involves showing some traffic stats ect. So I will work on this first and then persue this plugin at a future date.

But you can do a check with other bloggers who use OIO how much they are putting. Just click their ad page and you'll know. Then compare against their alexa, PR and inbound links, that would be a rough guide how much you should put if you ask me.Don't be afraid you'll have no ad spots filled. There are many ways to attract people to place their ads. Start with very low price and pass the word around promoting it perhaps at your favorite forums.
