If you have yet to use Google Adsense on your blog or website, but interested to do so now, you may find what I’m going to share with you quite useful and definitely worth considering. Indeed I’ve found an alternative to using Google Adsense – Clickbank CBproAds on my home business blog.
Why This Blog Has No Adsense?
Well this home business blog did have Adsense once when it first started but its existence came to a full stop just 2 months later. Yeah the big G put an end to it for reasons I have yet to comprehend. It advised me in an email then that my account proved a risk to others. These words sounded real strange to me and that it didn’t offer to explain more or advise what steps I should take to eradicate this ‘risk to others’ was a real disappointment. That was more than a year ago. Well this blog now has Adsense, an alternative to Google Adsense that is. Update: This blog now has Google Adsense. Yippee!
Can Google Adsense Make Money
I believe so judging from some bloggers who revealed their monthly income breakdown but on the same breath there seems to be many others who have yet to earn much on Adsense. I’m not an expert on Google Adsense and I’m clueless as to what helps one succeed in it. Perhaps it needs a lot of traffic since I figured it needs about 330 clicks just to give you about $10 Adsense revenue on an average. But then what do I know since I don’t even have Adsense on my blog. Anyone who’s made money on Adsense want to give some good advice, go ahead to post your comment. But for now Clickbank PRO Ads seems a good alternative for me.
What is Clickbank CBproAds
It’s a great tool for Clickbank affiliates to make money online with Clickbank using simple yet powerful ads. There are a total of 7 different types of ads you can generate within a minute each, 4 of them are shown below to give you an idea.
Free or Paid Account. Which is Better?
Well in terms of earning probability, paid account(PRO) offers you much more. If you do decide to use it’s free account, only 50% of the product ads you show on your blog will link to your Clickbank ID. For example if you show a banner with 2 products, one product will show yours and the other showing someone’s Clickbank ID. If it’s a 3 product ad, it’s 1 out of 3 linking to your Clickbank ID. One of the main reasons I didn’t opt for a free account is that you don’t get any affiliate commission either from fresh signups or when they upgrade from free to PRO accounts. But however as a free member you are still eligible to earn sales commission.
How Much Commission in Dollars Can You Earn
On the other hand the PRO account integrates all your ads using your Clickbank ID and everyone who joins you or upgrades later from a free account earns you 50% commission. Clickbank allows paid accounts for different time periods of 3, 6, 12 months or life membership and the service charges to join range from $19 to $99. So I guess you can do the math as to how much money you can make as 50% commission of these amounts whenever someone joins using your affiliate link. It can be pretty attractive. How To Get Started 1. You first need to be an affiliate of Clickbank. If you’re not an affiliate yet, click on this link to open your free Clickbank account. 2. When you have your Clickbank ID, you can then join ClickBank Pro and start to make money online. Free Review: For those who join Clickbank CBproADs using my affiliate link within this week, I’ll write a short review of your blog or site. It’s my way of saying thanks for your support.
Final Thoughts
Personally how Clickbank CBproAd won me over was because of how easy and flexible using this tool brings to me. With over 6000 Clickbank products available, 120 categories and 7 different ad generation types available this alternative to Google Adsense clearly offers a good solution to people who want to make affiliate commission with minimal work.

Peter,
Have you found that you’re getting more clicks with CB than you were with Adsense? I’m not having a whole lot of success with Adsense, though it hasn’t been terrible. Is it on the same variable structure that adsense uses in terms of pay-out? Also, if I were to do it, I’d probably just go with the lifetime membership.. have you found that you are making offsets and goes beyond what you paid? Thanks!

Have you thought about using pepperjam ads. Arnt they payper click? Unless you really enjoy selling products.
March 5, 2009 at 9:29 am
@Earn Money Online: Yes I did but unfortunately my blog was not approved to have pepperjam ads. No explanation was given. I really don’t know their selection criteria. Any idea?

That does make sense. For every 1 successful pay per buy lead, one would probably need a good number of pay per clicks. I’m gonna look further into CB, as well as pepperjam as mentioned below!

G’day Peter,
That’s a great resource, i’ve been a little frustrated with Adsense lately and have been wanting an alternative. I’ve signed up and am going to give them a go, i think the ClickBank storefront they have is a good idea too.

Thanks for sharing this information, Peter. I have just recently heard of this program, but I hadn’t had time to look into it. At this point, since I now know that a big part of making money is to pay to advertise, which, if you haven’t read my blog lately, isn’t happening, I guess I won’t be joining this program for awhile.

Hmmm, still sounds like paying to me; kind of like “surcharge” is another word for “tax”.

I feel like it would be harder to sell products. At least that is my experience. But it seems that you are doing fine with them.

Hi Peter,
This looks great, so it is not a PPC its more like affiliate marketing in autopílot, I guess you dont need to sign up for each offer you display on your site.
So you don´t get any money if someone just click in your ads?
I thought you were getting evil with those ads displaying in your post, I thought they were images and click it some by mistake, if they were PPC you already may had some clicks, lol.
I am not an expert in adsense, but the money you earn depends on the keywords you are targeting. There are very expensive keywords and if you have them in your blog with few clicks you may earn those 10 dlls you said.
The other day I just got 2 clicks that made me earn 1.5 dlls, so with only 14 clicks I could earn 10.5 dlls.
As for this CB ads, I will need to give it a try.

March 5, 2009 at 9:45 am
@Marketing Business Review: Luis, this is not PPC it’s “pay per buy” so you will not be charged for clicking these ads.Good that you made some money on your Adsense. Actually you can use both if you think that Adsence brings you some money. That’s increasing your income potential. You did say you wanted to “fire your boss” when the time is right?

March 5, 2009 at 2:35 am
It sounds like the PRO option would be the way to go as I would want all of the ads displaying on my site to be making money for ME. Perhaps instead of an alternative for adsense it could be used along side adsense ads, allowing two potential revenue generating opportunities.
March 5, 2009 at 3:05 am
I agree that the Pro option is far better than the free one. I’m thinking of signing up for 3 months to see if the lifetime option is worthwile. It looks like it could be a good deal as I like the idea of not having to search for ClickBank products to promote.
March 5, 2009 at 4:23 am
@Jim Saunders: You know Jim, I did exactly that and it’s good that Clickbank has such a flexible service charge plan. 3 months is a good time to decide whether to continue or not and you don’t want to pay for a full year in case you have a change of heart later. Thanks for joining.

Hi Peter
Since starting blogging you must have been through a number of templates to come up with the solution that best suits you. Have you found a that the layout of a blog has a big influence on click through rates for your adsense campaigns? The banners on your site now are very bold ans stand out.
March 5, 2009 at 10:12 am
@khaled:Actually this is only my second theme I’m having and I think OIO Publisher has helped me a lot in my Ad management. It’s my best investment. I have a day job so I prefer to use my valuable time for more important stuff than managing my ads. I don’t have adsense as I’ve explained on my post.

@Dennis Edell: Not quite. It simply lets you generate ads modules including contextual ads, image ads, scrolling ads etc and you select your own category you prefer like seo, home based business, banner tools, internet marketing etc. Then generate the ads code and place your ads at your most convenient places on your blog. All within 1 minute for each code.

Hi Peter, I haven’t tried clickbank yet, at least not that I can remember, but I have found that I have more luck your adsense type ads than with those that require a sale to earn a commission. I am a member of sites such as Clixgalore and Commission Junction, but although I am sending them thousand of views only a limited amount of people click on the ads and even less actually result in a sale. I must admit though that when a sale does eventuate the money earned is quite good.

Hey Peter,
A lot of great suggestions. If you’re interested in checking out another network I wanted to direct you to Adroll, we’re a niche vertical ad marketplace that works great with Adsense as a premium alternative. Full disclosure: I work for them, but regardless, we add a lot of value and might be interesting for your readers. We’re a CPM based network and don’t currently offer CPA/CPC, but those features are in development. Let me know if you have any questions!

I just started on Clickbank and this gives me an insight of what I should do. The only problem is with so many products to choose from, it is difficult to pick the suitable products.

That’s something interesting Peter. Honestly, despite the fact that I use clickbank a lot to sell some affiliate products, I never heard about this before.
You gave a nice introduction to it, thank you.
It’ll be interesting indeed to hear more from you on how it goes with this form of advertising.

I have never heard of this with CB. I have been an affiliate with them for several years now; however kind of disappointed with my sales this month. However never knew you could do this. As for adsense it seems to be going up in increments of $60 per month; so it is kind of difficult to hate it.
However this could be another form of making money online; I am always open to more ways to make increase my income. Panic Attack Symptoms
