Link Love-Links Round Up No. 13

home business ideas
This is my thirteen Link Love-Links Round Up that I have the pleasure of sharing with you some good posts I’ve read all week helping in one way or another in my Internet Home Business. This week my 5 favorite posts cover Top Commentators, Passive Income, Twitter Guide, RSS Subscribers, Favicon.

  • If you’re wondering what else you can do to get your next elusive RSS subscriber, maybe DailyBlogTips‘ post ‘50 Simple Ways to Gain RSS Subscribers‘ can give you plenty to think about.
  • Are you someone just starting out on Twitter, where have you been? and wondering if anyone could hand hold you to understand why everyone is talking about this micro blogging that perhaps is taking the world by storm?  If so, then I’ll let Caroline Middlebrook give you The Big Juicy Twitter Guide.  But don’t forget to follow her on Twitter after you’re done. (follow me too, will ya?)
  • While you are searching for new ways to promote your blog, don’t forget one which is commonly used by others to identify and brand their blogs. Yes favicon (short for “favorites icon”). BradBlogging tells us how you can easily get this done in no time. Read up his post Spruce Up Your Blog’s Bookmark with A Favicon.
  • Is Blogging a Passive Income? If it is now won’t that be a great motivation for you if you are blogging to make money. Find out what Chrisg.com has to say about this.
  • When someone has given a value added comment on your blog, the best thing you can do is do an update to your post, and give the commenter due credit for his good comment or perhaps even a linkback. Find out what else Shoemoney is recommending in A 7 Step Guide to getting more Comments.

    Hello Peter,
    Thanks for the links.
I do not think I have ever been to ChrisG’s before. While I was there I also found his post titled ‘Overcoming Your Own Constraints’ I thought it was great.

As you mentioned – if you are not on Twitter – where have you been. That is where I find allot of people sending out links to great blog post! Not just their own but, others that they find helpful.

Great job! I am off to read some more!

    Hi Peter,
your link to the article “Is Blogging Passive Income?” from Chrisg.com is more realistic than some of the hype on the internet nowadays. Sellers of ebooks, videos about blogging etc. like to entice buyers with the phrase “passive income.” However blogging is still hard work for most of us. Even those who succeed in getting lots of traffic and sales to their blog still have to continue making posts, maintaining the traffic etc.
The truth is that blogging has the potential to give you a much higher return on the hours you work than a normal job. But it is still WORK.

@Dave’s Affiliate Marketing: Dave I can’t agree with you more. It’s really a lot of work so thank God I’m still in one piece. I really look up to those blogging greats like Problogger. Little will know how just much work or sacrifices have gone to make that happen.

Another quality post. Peter, I noticed that when I submit comments to blogs, it says a feed could not be found at my website. It’s because I don’t have an RSS feed. Does that affect my blog commenting? Thanks.
