Am I a Twitter Convert?
To be honest, I was never quite a big fan of this micro blogging initially when I first heard of it. Somehow I’m not much of a social guy and the idea of sending short messages telling people “what am I doing” in Twitter didn’t quite appeal to me. It still hasn’t by the way. But lately, and slowly it’s gaining on me. I find myself getting more interested in any post that is related to Twitter, now the most talked about topic around the blogosphere or should I say Twittersphere. Well you could say good things happen together. Today I stumbled upon an easy way to explode your Twitter followers which I am excited to share it in this post.
Twitter – The Impact to well known bloggers:
- Caroline Middlebrook wrote The Big Juicy Twitter Guide.
- Darren Rowse started a new blog devoting it entirely on Twitter.
- John Chow completed what is believed to the the world’s first Twitterview – an interview done exclusively on Twitter with questions and answer that are no longer than 140 characters. In doing so, he didn’t realize he had coined the phrase Twitterview for the world to use.
These are pretty big names around the blogosphere and their actions speak louder than words. They are firm believers of the power of Twitter and what it can do to help our work at home business going forward. John Chow said of this on his blog ” How To Make 2009 Your Best Blogging Year:
I said that you need to get on Twitter if you haven’t already done so. 2009 will be the year of Twitter. Let me start first. I just started yesterday and just in one day have noticed a remarkable increase in Twitter followers. The result: 13 twitter followers compared to the usual 3 or 4 followers daily before and I haven’t begun any promotion yet. Looks promising.
Perhaps there is some truth about what people have been saying great things abut Twitter enroute to become the biggest thing this year. So join in and start getting more Twitter followers here.

Twitter is fantastic for getting new people on the blog.
Also becuase people on Twitter like leaving messages an awful lot will comment on your blog.
Sites like twitterfeed are also very good for posting your latest post automatically.
I have over 500 followers now and have seen a good steady rise in my stats. Definitely worth getting on there asap.

Not too sure how TweeterGetter actually works but I did use it anyway. I’m not too sure either why I just don’t enjoy twitter that much, just like everyone else.

I signed up with Twitter recently and like you Peter i did not see the point at first. However after using it along with tools like Twitterfeed and Yoono i think it’s great.

Hi Peter,
I have a question for you. What happens when you reach the limit that allows you to follow 2000? which is my case, meaning I cannot follow anyone until my ratio improves. I am able to follow 10% more than my followers, I didn´t knew it back then, so now I cannot follow anyone.
If this system needs us to follow everyone that are below, then we will reach our limits in minute.
Or I misundertood something? Can I join anyway?

@Marketing Business Review: Hi Luis,I’ve read that the 2000 max followers cap but I’ve not found out what happens after. Some say you get close to another 200 and that’s it. But you’re quite right this system is getting me quite a number of followers. Another 10 just followed me today.

lol, twitter goes mlm … complete with the unrealistic 5 gets 5 chart … too funny.
I like twitter, but I’m not at all a fan of these new tools that make it “easier” and “faster”. No disrespect to anybody who is using this, but my way of thinking is that if/when I have thousands of twitter followers, I want it to be because they’re interested in what I have to say … not because I used some tool to “trick” them into joining my “list”.

Is the nature of twitter just to get followers for the sake of having followers, or to get followers that have a similar interest with yourself. It seems that everyone is trying to increase their twitter followers to get anyone and everyone to join as opposed to finding new ways to improve on the quality of followers and what quantifies a good twitter follower. Maybe I’m just looking at it the wrong way or im a twitter pooper (twitters version of a party pooper)

@Khaled: This viral technique helps to get more followers for you but it’s not auto pilot. Whoever follows you, you still receive an email notification. You are at liberty to not follow or check who follows you from the notification. By all means remove them if they are not meeting your selection criteria.

@Rahul Jadhav: It seems there is no truth in it. I just checked with Gary McCaffrey, the man who started this TwitterGetter and he said:
“If twitter had a problem with this, I imagine they would have contacted me. If anybodies account was removed, surely mine would be first.Twitter have no problem with the system.”

@Make Money Online: Ben I’ve seen an increase of 70 new followers since I started using this. So it’s averaging about 10 followers per day vs about 2-3 followers in the past.

Twitter's exceptional for getting information out, but I think the quality of your followers is more important than quantity. I read a good article about this that i mentioned in my last blog post. It's easy to gain followers, but you want to make sure they're interested in what you have to say.
