Building Micro Niche Mini-Websites Takes Off This Week

My Internet Marketing journey as I fondly called it, starts a new chapter into building Micro Niche Mini-Websites. I launched my very first niche website on Sunday evening. This decision did not come suddenly. It took me 6 whole months to think, deliberate, research and finally made up my mind to go ahead.

Why Build Micro Niche Mini Website

Essentially there are two basic types of website that you can build to make money. The first one is an authority site like content websites frequently updated with the latest reviews, interviews, case studies. Such sites have tons of high quality incoming links and usually command a high page rank too.

The second type is a niche website which is a site that focuses solely on a single niche product or theme. My micro niche website will focus on one specific product that I find which gives me high searches but with low competition. For the time being I will use only adsense on each of my micro niche websites.

What Do I Need To Start Building Niche Websites

If you believe as much as I do that building niche websites using adsense is the better way to go, then you should build lots of such websites. This is because the money that each website makes for you is pretty small, perhaps making you about two to three dollars a day. However if you consistently build and expand your little micro niche websites empire to say 40 mini websites, now won’t that make a whole lot of difference and worth all the hard work you have done? If you follow a proven Adsense Master Course blueprint and work very hard at it,  well the sky is the limit.

But don’t get intimidated by the thought of creating so many websites. These are mini websites meaning it could be just one home page or at most a few more web pages added to it. My first mini niche website consists of 1 homepage and 5 other pages all with relevant long tail keyword phrases found in my Micro Niche Finder.

Adsense or Affiliate links?

That’s a decision each of us will eventually have to make to either focus entirely on adsense or only put affiliate links on your site. Either way, because niche websites are pretty focused on the one subject that you published on your website, the organic traffic that you bring in is very targeted with visitors streaming in all ready and willing to click on your affiliate links or adsense links.

For me I have to say I much prefer adsense since although mine’s a new account I have seen the potential income it could bring me. If you’ve been following my recent adsense posts, you would know why I simply love it. I guess you could say I’m now taking adsense to another level of success, or at least that’s the plan.

How I Choose To Build My Micro Niche Mini Websites

For me because I don’t have the luxury of time like many others do as I hold a full time job, I look for powerful tools that can help me do things better, faster and smarter:

1.Keyword Research and Finding My Little Niche

I use Micro Niche Finder. I found it to be the best keyword research tool I’ve ever seen and used, I didn’t know that I could find so many hidden niches using such a simple yet powerful tool. This tool searches for all the niches and provides you with vital information to make your informed decision. This includes, monthly searches, no. of advertisers, cost of ads, strength of competition. Even tells you the related products with Clickbank, Amazon etc and what articles have been accepted in Ezinearticles for these keywords. What can I say, it’s instant keyword research in getting your answer in just a few clicks like when I found mine.

2. Tool To Create Your Micro Niche Mini Website

125x125_Ad6_Beige.gifI used X-Site Pro2 to build my niche website. If you have been following my previous posts, I used to say that I hated my static website as I had difficulty maintaining it and making changes was very painful so much so that I simply made no attempts to improve the look and feel of my homepage. So don’t you think my decision to build websites instead of using a WP Blog just shows how much I loved this X-Site Pro2. I am no geek and a complete html noob, so It’s made for people like me who don’t need to use any knowledge of html to add pages etc.

But the best feature I loved so far is the fact that it has a publishing interface with my hosting account. Just a one time setting of few fields like ftp account/password, ftp directory lets me publish any new website or page additions in just 2 clicks. Now I don’t even have to go to my Hostgator c-Panel, NVU to go mess up with my index.html and get frustrated anymore.

and…

3. I followed John (Xfactor)’s Xfactor’s Micro Niche Adsense Course so as to save time with any testing I would need to get the desired results.

Latest Update (Sep 19):

My first Micro Niche Website main keyword is on Google’s page 1, No. 6th position just after one week proving that so far the Adsense Master Course blueprint I used works as what many others in Warrior Forum who have used it said.

1st micro niche website (Home Page)

- Sep 19 - Google Page 1 #6

- Sep 29 - Google Page 1 #1 (1sub page: page 1 #4)

2nd micro niche website (Home Page):

- Oct 2 - Google Page 1 # 6

  • Thanks, Nice post. Building Micro Niche Mini-Website is a better way to make money online with adsense.
  • @ Seo Services India: Absolutely, I knew that some time ago but held back as I needed time to think, tools to buy etc. Glad I got started. Any time wasted is money wasted too.
  • Sir I have comment on http://www.blueverse.com (not spamming), but my comment is not appear when I see later. Although the comment is posted at the time when I comment.
  • @ moonheart009: That could be because this blog may have installed a WP plugin that will only show your comment after 3 or 5 comments have been approved (decided by the owner) to prevent spamming.
  • Thank you for your reply. Sir most of high PR dofollow blog are some different topic, so it is hard to comment on those blog. What you do?
  • @moonheart009: If you are a new commenter, you will find it difficult at times especially if the topic is not something you like or familiar with. You will have to do some searching to find more suitable blogs/posts to comment on.If you think high PR blogs are not suitable for you then start with lower PR blog first. It's also good to build your network of friends.
  • thanks I am trying to comment on low PR blogs.
  • Yes you are right that micro niche mini website are better way to make money online. I am very much concern with these words.
  • @ internet marketing reviews: Absolutely! but what "words" are you concerned about. Don't quite understand what you meant.
  • Really it such nice description about Micro niche web site. Such type of web site will definitely prove worthwhile to promote any particular product. By make such web site we can focus only that product.
  • @ Lax transportation: You're right. There are just too many niches to un-tap to make money. The key is to spend good time in searching the best niche- one with high searches and low competition. Only a good keyword research tool like MNF does the job really well.
  • Peter,

nice strategy. I would be interested about your promotion strategies. How have you planned to drive traffic to these many sites, through SEO?

    Juhani from Internet Business Ideas
  • @ JuhaniTontti: Juhani, you're really the experienced marketer :-) I am following an adsense masterscourse that gives me the complete blueprint. Unfortunately I cannot share the strategies or I'll get into real trouble. But if you are still interested I'll send you the link for you to read. You can purchase his blueprint if you wish. Only that he has no affiliate program but he will welcome anyone wishing to follow his proven method.
  • Peter, your marketing strategy seems to be a business secret, so I respect that and do not ask the blueprint. However thanks, that you suggested.
  • Nice information sir, I want to improve my blog earning by google adsense. But I am getting very low CPC from adsense.
  • @ moonheart009:That's because your website is new. You would have higher CPC when you have more high value keywords ranked in Google later on. Keep doing link building that's my advice to you.
  • I also thinking so. Is CPC also depend upon google pagerank?
  • @ moonheart009: No, CPC does not depend on page rank. It depends on your keywords. Take a look at spyfu dot com and play around(type) with any keywords and you can see the CPC. However this is just an estimate. No one really knows how much Google pays.
  • Thank you. Well I select my keyword from google adword. Is not it good?
  • Congratz on launching your first micro niche site. I prefer affiliate programs over google adsense for higher payouts. Google adsense is a start a though. I hope it work out for you.
  • @ Deneil Merritt: Thanks for dropping in. Hope your business is well.
  • Alwaus happy to drop by and say something. My business is going ok.
  • May I suggest you supplement your adsense income with some affiliate product promotion. Why not put them both on your niche websites. They are several pay per lead affiliate programs that will pay you for each sign up to their free offer.
  • @ marcus@make money online: I may do that in the future but by introducing affiliate links together with adsense links, you may not find the best results. But who knows. It should be left to the person doing it to test and see how profitable that will be.
  • jewelrymakingsupplies
This is new to me, I never heard about micro niche websites before. I think this is pretty interesting, I will try this eventually.

    thanks Peter.
  • @ jewelrymakingsupplies: I heard about niche websites about 6 months ago and I've seen many of my friends make money too, so it can potentially give you a good income if you learn the right way to build such sites.
  • We both are in same boat. Before reading this post it was new for me also. But now i am thinking to go for it.
  • @ internet marketing reviews: Well it's something that interests me a lot and it's taking action like this that I feel happy to have got that started. I will not mull over it and say I should have started long ago because I prefer to look at the future not the past. I have everything I need including all the required tools so I'm comfortable with doing micro niche websites.
  • Great job Peter!

Do you mean the mini site is a one page site which promotes the clickbank product, just like a landing page? In fact, I've been building a few one-page sites which write about different topics, I used them to make money wtih Adsense. It was great in the first few months, it got into 1st page rapidly, but it dropped to no where after a few months because it was a one page site and didn't update after that. So I stopped creating those site anymore since it was not working well.

I would like to hear more from you about this matter Peter. :)

    Regards,
    Lee
  • @ Lee Ka Hoong: You may have a one page website but that does not necessarily mean it's a small niche. Since you mentioned you have different topics on your page, that is not a niche site. A niche site is focused on one topic and because you want to create a niche website you would have to do your keyword research to find the best one - one that has reasonably good searches but not much competition. You will need a good keyword research tool to do this. If you choose your niche well, you don't need much maintenance possibly 5-10 % of what a normal site requires. This little work is to maintain your search engine ranking.
  • No Peter, I meant that I have a few one page sites which had specific topic each sites, i didn't mix different topics on a page. Perhaps I didn't have a good keyword, all the sites got into Top 10 (says top 5) and had good conversion, but the ranking for the sites dropped to no where after few months.

Perhaps I really need to get Micro Niche Finder tool to do the job for me. How much it will be if you don't mind to reveal Peter? I visited the site but didn't see the price.

    Regards,
    Lee
  • @ Lee Ka Hoong: Lee, looks like you almost made it. This means that you had too many sites who were pretty competitive and you were able to be in the first page for some time. Later because these sites were very strong they probably took a short time to outrank you. That means you had too high competition and if you had spent some time to look at your strength of competition, you'll probably still be on page 1. The MNF gives you many things but the most valuable information is the SOC (strength of competition). Right now my niche is on page 1 for the main keyword I found in MNF. So it's a good sign but still some work to keep it there before I move to create my next niche site.

It costs $97 up from $67 since Dec'08. I know it's a little high price but I've yet to find another one that is so good and since I'm into niche website creation, I know I will need it. I created one site sometime ago and I spent a lot of time doing everything right except that my niche I found was not the right one as there was too much competition and I didn't know about it. I found this out only when I searched for the keyword in this MNF I bought. So I know how valuable this tool is.
  • snipes119
It sounds like a great idea because very few people are willing to take the time to build all those mini niche sites. So your competition will be relatively low.

  • @ snipes119: Thanks for dropping by. Actually not all niches have low competition although it may have started that way. But you're right the more niche sites you create they may add up to the time you need to do your maintenance.
  • I have been doing this type of marketing for a while now.

However i tend to use the micro sites as a means for generating traffic and also getting relevant links to my main website.
  • @ cufflinks: Thanks for your visit. From what I know, links from your other sites may not be too valuable.
  • Excellent article on micro niche sites..i have heard it is best to have your domain name the same as the keyword you are targeting for added juice in Google..Do you think it is better to focus on Internet marketing making money niches or products such as with Amazon?.
  • @ Chantel Ryan: Yes choosing your domain name to match your chosen niche keyword is an important factor we all learned in niche marketing. I prefer to focus on products simply because lots of people search for products than anything else in the search engines.
  • Hey Peter,

Thanks for introducing Micro Niche Finder as it sounds like a best tool to look out for the low competence niches. You have suggested the right points which will surely lead to a successful micro niche website.

    Thanks for such informative post.
  • @ Ravi@How to make quick money: Yes I'm finding MNF to be really helpful and sometimes you can find very interesting niches that not many people are aware of.
  • pozeabsolvire
A few days ago i read about the earnings that can be made from micro niche websites, and to be honest i was surprised because i never though they are so competitive. Micro Niche Finder sounds like a good tool. I will try it to see how it 's works. Thanks for this.
  • @ pozeabsolvire: Yes I'm finding Micro Niche Finder to be a real gem and something that serves my basic needs for micro niche website creation. Good that you are trying it out. Let me know what you think of it.
  • How about a combination of the two; adsense and affiliate offers?
  • @How To Jump Higher: There is no correct way or the best way to do it. I guess whatever earns you more money, by all means do that. However some feel that with both types of links, the visitor gets a little confused and you lose the focus on the adsense. It also depends on the template you used if it makes sense to have them both on the page.
  • I read X-Factor's entire thread over at WF; he provides almost all of the advice an ambitious Adense entrepreneur needs to be successful with a niche site and Adsense.
  • @ SEO Consultant: Yes I read the entire thread at WF before I bought his ebook. For those who don't want to spend any money, just reading all his answers to the questions posed by the people already give you lots of ideas, tips on your adsense strategy. Glad that you read it.
  • Thanks for the resource.
  • The adsense master course looks very attractive but I'm wondering if the tips are not violating the TOS?
  • @ Lito: You got to be specific. What tips are you referring to. If you are referring to John's tips, where did you read them. You should read in totality if you have his ebook. If not I guess there is no basis of your statement. John has been doing adsense for the last 4 years and he knows he is definitely not violating Google TOS.
  • Wow..!! Good move I say..
That's really better when one is going for their original thinking and let that imagination go true with the whole hard work and prosperity..
All the best for the bright results..!!
  • @ Used cars by owner: Thanks for the kind words.
  • Cheers for the your first micro niche mini website. Looking forward to hear your success in this field.

Great tips btw on how to choose and build mini websites.
  • @ Make Money Online: Thanks!
  • Best of luck for your first micro niche mini website. I will pray for your better future.
  • There is only so much potential building niche sites. The audience scope is small.
  • @ Tech: Based on whose expert opinion is this? There are millions of niches and if the audience is small perhaps because a wrong niche was targeted. Perhaps you like to share with us any of your bad experiences.
  • Peter, I am also planning to starting a new micro niche site. How was your experience with MNF so far?
  • @Ravi@How to make quick money: Hi Ravi, Glad to hear that. My niche website's main keyword phrase is currently on Google's page one in the 5th-6th position. It should get better when all my EZA articles get approved (they are taking too long because they have received too many submissions it seems). My strategy is simple - once each niche website goes to Google page 1, I start to create the next niche website. While waiting for the new website to get indexed, I do backlinking on the first and it goes on. Good luck on yours. Let us know how it goes OK?
  • Peter, looks like you have a good strategy there. I usually start 3-4 blogs together and then just cant focus on all of them. I know that is part of my problem.

May be I should also take is slow and plan better - one at a time.
  • Peter, this is a fantastic post. You know, I think I have known this all along, because the first ever website I built is a small niche site with about 9 pages, and since I have built it all I do is update it once a month or so, and this site is on page 1 for quite a few keywords, and brings in quite a few visitors every day. This is the site that makes me a few dollars every day from Adsense, and requires the least amount of work. I had been thinking for a while now to keep going building niche sites, but that's all I did - think about it. I could knock my head against the wall now reading your post, I would be making a lot more money already if I just concentrated on building these sites :( Thanks for giving me a kick in the right direction!!!
  • @ petraweiss: Hi Petra, if it works well for you and since it does not take much maintenance, why don't you start a few more niche websites. Think about it.
  • Peter, do you think it more valuable to build a niche "information" site, or one around "products"? I would like to hear your opinion on that. Or does it even matter?
  • @ petraweiss: Niche sites on products are better because many people look for products so when they come to you niche sites, they will be happy to click the adsense ads because they are looking for information. With niche sites, all your ads will be centered on one subject and so will be the ads.

  • symptomsofpanicattacks
I just learned how to use MNF the right way to do my keyword research; as a matter of fact last week I decided to start up 4 new sites. I am building them on Wordpress because I do not have Xsitepro nor do I know how to use it. Symptoms of panic attacks
