Blog Carnival of Link Building, Blogging Tips,Traffic Secrets

passive income ideas graphic

This may not be your usual blog carnival, but the intent is very much similar. You get to read all the best posts on your favorite topics on Link Building, Blogging Tips, Blog Marketing, Traffic Secrets. Only this time, I get to invite some great bloggers in my blogging community to showcase some of their work. Call it blog carnival, call it blog festival, this blog carnival is a special post for my subscribers and visitors for your reading and learning pleasure.

What I’ve said about….

Link Building - Is anchor text variation really that important? Yes, absolutely, you can easily find the answer in this statement “Google likes your links natural”. I have to say the best way for backlinks to look natural is by having a variation of keyword anchor text.

Blogging Tips - Don’t focus entirely on single keywords but instead use keyword phrases. There are about five million pages on the web that contain the word “cat”, so a search for just that term produces meaningless results. If your page is primarily about cat care, then that’s the keyword phrase you should have on your web page.

Blog Marketing - Forum Marketing is one of the best methods of driving real targeted traffic to your home business blog.

Traffic Secrets - Make first impressions count. You don’t need to know rocket science or study human behavior to know that the first impression of an event, or an activity is a lasting one. That’s probably the first thing you should do before even thinking about how to get repeat visitors to your blog.

What my friends have said about….

Link Building

Enkay, www.enkayblog.com

There are many ways that you can help build links to your blog that will bring in traffic. One such way that most people overlook is by purchasing ad spots around the blogosphere. In this post, I discuss why purchasing ad spots is a good idea and how it can be beneficial to you. I also showcase how some of my keywords that are related to reviews paid for by sponsors, rank in Google. The idea of showcasing those keywords is to show how purchasing a review has more benefits than you would think it has. Hopefully this post will help you re-think about advertising your blog around the blogosphere.

If anyone was to ask me what my main strategy for link building was, it would have to be commenting on other blogs. I use a particular strategy that I’ve listed on my post. I feel that commenting provides more than just a link to your blog, if you do it properly it will give it something much more important, extra traffic.

  • Yes, absolutely.Sometimes it´s very difficult to come up with a really good idea for a blog post and this makes it easier.
  • Thanks, Peter for the invite. I think you should do this kind of blog carnival where each week you'll invite different bloggers to submit their best articles. It's a win-win.

  • Yeah, I just thought it'd be better to write product reviews on another site, unless it's a paid one. That way I could keep TSB as a place for beginners.

Look forward to your active commenting there.

  • hey Peter,
You've put a LOT of information into this post! :)
I'll vouch for Dennis above. He recognizes the importance of responding to commenters and does it, and he's a funny guy (aye carumba!), and he's got a great blog. :)
I agree with your first point about varying anchor text, but I struggle with how much, because the more you vary it, the more you dilute it. Any thoughts on that (how much variation)?

  • @Steve | Trade Show Guru: Well it's a lot of information 'cos it's a blog carnival, so your feedback shows it's good to do this and I may do it again sometime later. On how much variation is good, you may want to focus on a few first and monitor your progress. Also suggest using a few good tools to check for trends, traffic before adding new ones.
