Here’s 10 Free High PR EDU Links-My Gift To You

How much do you believe that Google loves .edu and .gov sites and domains more than any others and therefore value these backlinks more?  Three years ago when I first heard of this, people were just obsessed with getting these links because they were like goldmine for their link building used in dominating Google search engine ranking.

Well fast forward three years later today, people still have the same belief even after Matt Cutts in an interview last year openly denied this. This is what he said:

Matt Cutts:
“…..edu or .gov links are good – and when there are good links, .edu links tend to be a little better on average; they tend to have a little higher PageRank, and they do have this sort of characteristic that we would trust a little more. There is nothing in the algorithm itself, though, that says: oh, .edu – give that link more weight.”

Well what this essentially means is that Google treats all links the same but then again why do we know that Google seems to love high PR sites and crawl these sites like every hour at least. And we know that .edu and .gov tend to have higher PR than most other websites. Matt even said so in the interview.

Essentially he says that if you get a link from a .com PR5 page, it is exactly the same as a link from a .gov or .edu PR5 page. Then again most .edu and .gov websites are recognized as the more trusted sites compared to others like .com sites don’t you think. In fact many people feel that too many of Google’s algorithms rely on the trust factor a little too much. So does this somewhat mean Google has to like .edu sites because of this high trust they accord them. Perhaps these are the sites who are usually linked to government and educational organizations. They are clean sites without a trace of any bad links and probably never quite knew the vocabulary of ‘bad neighborhood’.

Many people didn’t quite believe all that Matt Cutts said in that interview. Perhaps saying what he did was a politically correct answer. And who could blame him. After all think of what Google might have to contend with, with all the spamming that would follow if he said Google regards these websites and backlinks differently.

Even the much respected Aaron Wall did not believe this to be true when he gives us the Proof That Google Loves EDU and GOV Sites.

So what do you think?

Do you still think that .edu or .gov backlinks are nothing special.  I like to hear your views on this interesting topic.

My Gift to you:

I am giving you for free a Backlink Packet containing 10 high PR EDU LInks (PR 8 – PR3), which has full details on their urls, how and where to post your backlinks details. (It’s similar to the way we do for Angela’s backlinks, if you’ve subscribed)

New Update: I now have 1 PR4 .gov link url to be given away too so will add this link to be given away together with the 10 .edu links. Well it can’t get any better. Please come back and check out here again for any new freebie links I might add on.

My Requirement from you: Simple – Just subscribe to my blog via email subscription and drop a comment here saying you have done so and I will email you the link to this backlink packet. If you have already subscribed via email previously, just tell me that and I’ll also send you once this has been verified. The reason why I don’t put up this link here is that this blog is now getting its fair share of spamming and I want to prevent these people from spamming the .edu sites.

Have you been missing on getting PR6-9 backlinks for top search engine ranking? subscribe to Angela’s Backlink Program to get 30 of them every month at just $5.00.
Did you enjoy this post? If yes, why not subscribe to my RSS feed or get it via Email. That way you’ll never miss out on new blog posts.

Did you miss any of these?:

  • miekof
Hi again Peter.. I would like to know, is it angela backlink still work??
I saw at forum that didn,t work because so many spam
  • @miekof:Hi Zul,

It still works. When these links become so precious and so good obviously many people would do lots of spamming thinking that they can get more backlinks. Even though Angela has been reminding many people to follow exactly how they should be doing the linking. But on the whole there are only a few sites who have disabled such profile backlinking because of these spammers so Angela's program still works.

I've used them to rank all my niche sites to Google's page one.
  • davyboy70
Ive subscribed through email, looking forward to getting link details!

  • I just subscribed. nice blog. look forward to hearing from you. thanks.
  • @Computer Backpack: I cannot find your email subscription. Can you please subscribe via email and I'll send you the free links.
  • WOW that was super fast delivery. I was looking for someone to pay to build some high pr authority links. If you are interested. I would like to ask though if you have other sites of your own that you have used these links on? As I see on peterleehc.com has a PR0 and if you use these links on it, doesn't seem to be much benefit
  • @weird: I used Angela's Backlinks with high PR sites but I focused on my niche sites not this blog and they are all on Google's page one. Remember page rank is not important as it impacts only 20 percent of how well you rank in Google. Angela also offers backlink building outsourced services so that should help you. The link is here and you can check it out:

Hi Peter ! What a nice contribution to our quest for rankings... ;)
I subscribed to your blog by email as requested, and I'll be glad to receive your "magical" link.
    Thanks a lot !
  • @filigrif: I've sent the links to you. Please look out for the mail.
  • filigrif
    Thank you so much !
I've checked the links, and they seem quite relevant !
Just one question : don't you think that links written like http://www.***/***/index.php?action=profile;u=991 are not quite appreciated by googlebot ?
smf forums can have seo friendly urls, but this one seems not so friendly... Do you think it is taken into consideration by google anyway ?
  • @filigrif : No I don't think so. I've been using Angela Edwards backlinks for a long time and they are all profile links and they work like magic. It is not important how they are written as long as each profile page contains your links and I've had great success using them. They work well because they are all high PR websites.
  • filigrif
@Peter : and is there something to do in particular, when registering to those sites ? For instance : use different member names for each registration, use different web links...?
  • @filigrif: It's all up to you what member names you like to choose during registration. You can stick to one but if you wish to be anonymous, use different user names so people cannot track you down.
  • LR
I subscribed on your feed - can you send me the list to this mail?

  • martin
i have already subscribe to your blog. please send me the details.
  • @martin: I cannot find your email address as one of my email subscribers. Did you use another email address perhaps? Let me know or simply re-subscribe.
  • Hi peter thanks for subscribing for this blog and leave a great comment.
  • So peter are these edu websites blogs that you can comment on?
  • @Win Money Online: No Brian, you cannot comment on them and they are usually not blogs. You just put your links on their profile pages which are do follow to get your backlinks. That's easier than commenting don't you agree?
  • Peter can you please send me the 10 edu link info. I've posted here twice (not getting confirmed) and been a subscriber for over 2 weeks.

    Thanks for the help.
  • @Duane: Thanks for subscribing to my blog and I've just sent you the edu/gov links. Enjoy!
  • paulwilson888
Hey Peter, have just subscribed via email looking forward to receiving the link pack thanks. I have a question and can't find the answer on your site. My posts are nofollow however I see that other posters are dofollow. What do I need to do in order to change from blue to pink?
  • @paulwilson888: I have just sent you the edu/gov links. Please check your email. All posts are no follow including yours. If you get in the 10 Top Commentator's list, your link is do follow.
ps. If you mean why you don't get a link, that's because you did not enter your url and keyword:-)
  • martin
hi please send me the gift. i will be very grateful to you.i will use this edu links to boost up my site.
    Thanks in advance,
  • @martin: You need to subscribe to my blog and put your blog url on your comment.

    Ample
  • @Web Designer: Hi Ample, thanks for subscribing to my blog. I have sent the EDU/GOV links to you. Look out for the mail. Enjoy!
  • Joe
I've just been search the .edu and Google really like them, but for how long.
  • Are the actual pages where the links will go PR8 or is the site homepage a pr8? that really makes a difference.
  • Actually that's a myth. As long as the homepage is a PR 8 then it makes no difference. Your backlink is still going to be weighted heavily because it's coming from a PR 8 site, whether it's on the homepage or an internal page with zero PR.
  • Lee
Would appreciate having your edu package. Just subscribed.
    Thanks
  • Hi Lee,
Before I send to you, please advise me your url. The one you gave
    http://lipochin.info/ seems invalid.

    Thanks
    Peter
  • @Lee: Your url seems not valid (says server not found) Please confirm your website url before I can agree to send you your links.
  • Hi Peter,

Very nice offer from you. I have subscribed to your blog. You have just got yourself another loyal reader.

And also plz send me my high PR .gov and .edu links package. :)

    Best Regards
  • @Steam Carpet Cleaners: Thanks for signing up. I have just emailed you your .edu and .gov links. Enjoy!
  • Dave
I was just messing with you Peter. i.e meaning don't send the package to anyone who replies after me, it means less competition. All just in jest of course. That is a nice offer from you. Hope this clears up the misunderstanding.
  • Hi Peter, i had subscribe to your blog via email. I'd love to know those edu and gov link site.
Please send it to my email. I'd definitely visit your site regularly if you keep share this great information :D
  • @Chandra Wijaya: Thanks for subscribing. I just sent you both the edu and gov links. Enjoy them. By the way you have a very nice blog. Keep in touch.
  • This is news to me. Solid info--I'll be coming back.
  • Hey there, thanks very much for this gift, I've subscribed via email to your blog to see what else you throw at us! Many thanks.. =)
  • @Hot Tub Tommy: Thanks for subscribing to my blog. I have sent you the 10 edu links. Hope you like them.
  • Hi Peter, thanks for sharing this.Edu and Gov links seems to have high PR and getting a link from these sites is often very difficult and time consuming thanks to all the research it involves.

Perhaps you knew this all ready but there is a line you can put into Google´s search box to find edu blogs with the right keywords.

    This one:

site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in" "marketing"

(Just change the word marketing to your own keyword)
  • @Tom - marketing tips: Hi Tom, good to see you here. I've got it in another post and forgot to make reference to so thanks for sharing it here. Just came from your blog. It looks really awesome.
  • Thanks for your kind words Peter! I changed the theme in early January and this seems like a winner.(I usually change my theme once per year, it keeps the blog fresh and interesting :))
  • Thank you for all the great posts from last year! I look forward to reading your blog, because they are always full of information that I can put to use. Thank you again, and God bless you in 2010.
  • Hi you have made one nice post here, actually what I am doing now a days for my client that I am searching .edu blogs for make comment, I think that .edu blog comment are still valuable as I am getting rank by commenting on .edu blog, but most of .edu blog do not provide dofollow link and the blogs which provide dofollow link, they are full of comment spam.

Well I have subscribed to your blog, I request you to give your .edu blog list to me. Thanks.
  • @work at home: Hi Chandan, I've sent the EDU links to you. Check your mail.
  • Thank you, I have got the ebook, have you any other ebook for .edu blog? Actually I have used the .edu forum there, for getting profile link. If you have some other list also please let me know.
  • @work at home: Sorry Chandan, I don't have any other ebook for .edu blog or other lists to share.
  • I have already been subscribed on your Blog Peter (:
  • @Home Based Business: I have sent the EDU links to you. Check your mail.
  • Hi Peter, High PR backlinks are priceless - so please send me the package! ;)
I have already subscribed to your blog...
  • @
petraweiss: Hi Petra, You're right, they are truly priceless. I've sent you. Go look out for it in your mail.
  • Hey Peter,

I would say that Google does tend to favor .edu and .gov sites more so over regular .com sites. Whether it's in the algorithm or not, it just works out that way. They usually do have high PR, and since they're education and government sites, why wouldn't Google trust them?

Seems to be cut and dry to me, but of course I can understand Matt's response to that.

That's mighty nice of you to trust people with a packet like that. Just hope they don't abuse the privilege and spam the sites and ruin it for everyone.

I'll happily take a packet when you get a chance. ;)
  • @Alan Mater: I will reserve the right not to give it to anyone if their sites seem shady or objectional to me. I have sent the edu links to you. Check your mail.
  • Dave
OK Peter. Just signed up. I would say though that as long as I am the first commenter that you should make that the cut off point for the offer;)

And if I am the second or third then obviously that should be the cut off point. All the best and nice offer.
  • @Dave: Hi Dave, Thanks for signing up. I have sent the backlink packet to you. Don't quite understand what you meant "I would say though that as long as I am the first commenter that you should make that the cut off point for the offer" My post says anyone who signs up I will send the free links packet to this person. There is no cut-off point whatever that means.
