I remember very clearly getting Google Index for my first website when I was an undisputed complete newbie proved disastrous. That was more than a year ago but that pain still etched in my mind till today. It took me 2 weeks then to get my first website indexed by Google. Four months later I fared better when I had my first WordPress blog. I got Google Index after 3 days. Yesterday I set up a new WordPress blog and I took 3 hours before getting Google’s blessing.

Such is the journey everyone of us goes through, learning and improving along the way. But if you’ve been reading my blog as a frequent visitor or a subscriber, you would know that what I learned along the way I’ve shared it quite openly with everyone. The Google Index Challenge

Unlike my other challenge How Blog Commenting Got Me 1200 Backlinks in 5 Days, which was clearly an experiment to see how many backlinks I could get over a few days, this Google Index challenge isn’t one. It’s the real thing. I started a second WordPress blog as part of my link building strategy and I wanted it indexed like yesterday. It does pay to check up what’s the latest Keyword Search Tools as last night when I did, found that my keywords Work From Home Ideas made it to Google Top 10.

Google has launched a new keyword research tool intended for Adwords research, to find more PPC keywords. But you can also use this tool to find relevant keywords for your website pages, blogs and blog post titles.

Making to Google Top 10 for any of your keywords you are ranking may seem like an achievement for some, a relief for others, but for the serious marketer the reality is that you need many many keywords to rank just as well if you want to be really successful in your work from home business.  But let’s take a brief moment to rationalize what this means and sharing with you what I have recently done which may have helped:

My link building strategy works

I re-SEO my website

• I had my page title changed. SEO is a long term process so don’t be afraid to make drastic changes once in a while if you know it’s the right thing to do.

Keyword in my anchor text

• Most of my published articles and blog posts contain work from home ideas or variations.

• Target as many keywords as you can but they must be found within your web page.

• all my Squidoo lenses have this keyword. If you change your keywords, do remember to update your lenses.

I learned How To Get Free Backlinks Easily

• I used ebay free backlinks and included anchor text work from home ideas or variations

• I added snippets of my favorite posts and published in Blogger using same anchor text. Avoid any duplicate content while doing so.

• I experimented with an aggressive blog commenting approach and got 3000 backlinks in the last 5 weeks after my experiment How Blog Commenting Got Me 1200 Backlinks in 5 Days.

Find Out Who Links To Your Competitors
