Avoid any black-hat techniques that could have you linked to sites that send spam or scams or the search engines will deal with this severely. So the message is that you must know exactly who you are linked to. You should at least check out your link partners’ site and obtain a certain degree of comfort with their business, although at times, this may prove quite a challenge. One suggestion would be to obtain as much information including any bad publicity through what else – your reliable search engines.
It takes some time to find the right strategies for good link management which will work really well for your online business. In this context, it is important to build steady and strategic back linksto your website. Once you have achieved this, your website will get indexed and crawled by many search engines. This increases your overall search engine position for keywords or phrases due to your higher page rank and translates to increased visitors to your website. When this happens, it hopefully gives you the edge and opportunity to really promote your business brand name or products and able to feed and sustain this hungry crowd.

I Need to know is there any solution for inbound link management.
for eg:
if i add my web site link to the yahoo directory i want to track how many times traffic comes from yahoo directory. I don't want to use 3rd party sites because then i have to use there URL. My web site is based on Joomla. Can any one help me to resolve this issue.

You can use Google analytics for viewing how many visitors arrive from a link/website. However, if you are using a multi domain marketing strategy, Analytics isn't a good idea. Google actually uses the information about you to determine if you are cross linking between your sites too much. You can use aWstats or a couple other analytics packages. Contact me if you need help installing an analytics package. I actually programmed my own analytics code because I needed to track some very custom needs.

linking strategy to avoid is reciprocal linking. Google does not count links
that bounce back and forth as much as it does one-way links. Thanks for
