Yes, you have been repeatedly told and taught that every blog needs to have a niche unless the blogger is a genius or he is not that much interested in making the blog profitable. Now, I hope you, like the rest of the ordinary folks out there, are rather interested in getting some money out of your sheer passion for blogging at the end of each month.  In short  learning how to make money blogging. It is a brilliant combination if you can turn your passion into a money making machine, but for that you need to select the niche for your would be blog. You need to find a niche that you are interested in and at the same time, you need to make sure that niche has enough potential to draw a decent amount of traffic regularly. Though there is hard and fast rule for choosing the niche, here we are going to share some common tips that you can find really helpful:

All Niches are Profitable: This sound too good to be true. But it is a fact. Any niche can be profitable given the fact that you are putting your hundred percent in it. Moreover, you need to be passionate about the niche you are going to choose and the reason is quite simple, you cannot go on updating your blog with relevant and interesting posts 365 days unless you are really really passionate about it. Try to find you calling in a segment and there you go. It can be anything from gardening to home remodeling and publish content people would love to read and share and there you go.

Do Not Think About Money All The Time: Though there is no point of denying the fact that money is single most motivating factor that moves us, you should not be guided blindly by it all alone. Just because some of your friends are making money through some SEO and Design blogs, you should not jump to the conclusion that you should tread the same path and money will come automatically. This is not the case all the time. Unless you have authority in a particular field, you will find it really hard to turn things into your favor.

Try Google Adwords Keyword Tool and Google Trends: When everyone fails, you should turn to God, sorry I mean Google, sorry for the typo. Google has two awesome products – Google Adwords Keywords research tool and Google trends that will let you find out what topics are hot and what are not so hot. Try you hands at Google Adwords Keyword research Tool to find out some keywords related to your selected niche. It gives details of how many people are search with what terms and how many websites are competing with that keywords. So, with this, you will have a fair idea of the competition you are going to face.

Google Trends is another spectacular tool to find your blogging niche and there is a section that can help you write on the hottest topics – http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends . You can put any keyword in the search box and it will come up with some really great some suggestions.

Observe: Try to observe what other people are writing about and if they are manage to make both ends meet at the end of the much. You can have a gross idea of how many visitors they are drawing by checking their Alexa rank and you can have a gross account of the main keywords that are drawing majority of their visitors. Now, if the number looks great and if you are confident about the theme, you can go ahead and choose this as your blogging niche.

yes Google AdWords is a service to create and run ads for business quickly..
AdWords ads are displayed along with search results when someone searches Google using keywords.
once you enter a word or phrase or a URL, and the AdWords keyword tool spits back a list of related keywords and some additional data…
    its very helpful..

  3. Two great tools that I love to use. Blogging about something that you are passionate about helps you contribute to your community and gets other people excited about it too. Be patient—people will find you.

  4. Blogging won’t be fun if you’re not talking about something that you’re passionate and knowledgeable about. And if earning money is one of your goals too, these tips are great. Keywords are important and choosing your niche too. You explained it really well. Thanks for this post.

I love blogging today although when I first started blogging things didn’t go as planned. Later I found out it was my inexperience that was the problem and started learning about marketing online.

Today blogging for profit is how I make my living. I have blogs in every niche I have hobbies or interest in but I don’t start blogging quite yet, like I used to.

Now I use tools like the Adwords keyword tool you mentions along with paid tools to determine how long it will take me to start profiting as well as the keyword and phrases I should be use.

I also go after top keywords even though I know it could take a year or two to rank but they keep working while my target keywords make money for my now.

    I love blogging.

I agree that all thoughts of financial success must be ruled out when trying to build up the business. Focus hard on establishing a niche and nurturing it with a lot of patience and dedication, and the money will come automatically.

  7. Thank you for the excellent post! In my experience too many people have been tarnished by the GRQ scammers. I always encourage people to choose a niche that they have knowledge about and truly love. With all the time and hards work required to actually grow an online business it seems to help take the edge off. Slow and steady eventually will win the race!
