This is my very first post on Link Love-Links Round Up which is a round up of weekly links which I’ve found to be useful work at home ideas. It’s a small way to share some link love with my readers and subscribers and bringing some useful and interesting ideas to them. I welcome anyone who reads this post to share any good posts which you have recently read and have benefited from or nominate your own post if you consider it good here. Just post your comment here giving some details.

Yan runs a pretty unique looking Link Building blog called Thou Shall Blog and has seen its traffic grown exponentially. Well that goes without saving at the rate this man keeps coming up with fresh new ideas. Here is one cool site that I recently stumbled upon and the blog is run by Miss ChiQ Montes. Oh did I tell you she has such talent in creating nicely designed WP themes and likes to give them away for free? The spirit of giving I guess and it’s not even Christmas. Lastly, Daily Blog Tips tells us what are 7 Things to Avoid While Leaving a Blog Comment. It serves a good reminder to give worthy comments that add value to the topic of discussion. We hate spams or one-liners among others. Find it out and see if you agree with all the 7 things to avoid.

10 Simple Tips to Fast Loading Website and Home Business Blog

When was the last time you ran a check on how fast your work at home business website loads? Perhaps one month ago? 3 months ago, or the day you had your website created? Don’t you think you owe it to your readers and your subscribers whom you have openly said you’re providing good quality content while quietly saying to yourself how you wish you had more repeat visitors coming to your blog?

You might have one of the greatest looking websites in your niche but very few people are going to see it if it takes such a long time to load

I do not like to visit slow loading websites because the waiting time kills me and time is valuable. But if I have such thoughts, don’t you think my visitors coming to my site think the same way too.

The speed of your website or work from home business blog is the responsibility of the webmaster and you just have to set aside some of that valuable time to make this a periodic tune up. If you are just about to design your new work at home business website, do remember to check out how long it will take to load.

1. Minimize the use of images - The best way to get a fast loading web site is to minimize the use of images. It may be impossible to totally have a site without images and that’s not what I am recommending too. Perhaps set yourself 20% of your website having images. Remember all the popular sites like Google do not have many images. That’s because they place more importance to its load time as well as readers’ on-site experience.

2. Minimize the bytes of your html write-up by deleting all unnecessary characters, and blank spaces for fast loading pages.

3. Minimize the bytes of your website images with an Image Optimizer. This tool allows you to easily optimize your GIFs, animated gifs, JPGs, and PNGs, so they load as fast as possible on your website. I’ve also found out that you can easily convert from one image type to another up to an upload size limit of 300kB. Just to give you an idea what this means, I recently converted the image I had used on Work At Home Internet Business-7 In-Dept Link Building Tips . The picture size reduced from 105.61 KB to 13.09 KB, an unbelievable 87% reduction in bytes.

4. Use a HTML Validator to check out all errors found as such errors will increase your site loading time.

5. Reduce the number of animated GIFs as they take a very long time to load your pages. If it’s really necessary, choose smaller animated gifs.

6. Keep Your Code Clean - If you do use a WYSIWYG editor, most of the time you will receive redundant code added to your pages for example, these empty tags <font> </font>. Removing these excess tags will speed up your load time.

7. Keep your icons simple and small - Try not to use big images on your website. Instead use simple and small icons that add just a little color to attract your visitor’s attention.

8. Remove Anything You Don’t Need – Take a closer look at some of the things that you have put on your work at home business site and you will be amazed at the number of things you could remove, if not needed. This may be in the form of images, embedded sound files, widgets or animated GIFs.

9. Avoid Long Pages – Besides taking a longer time to load, long pages are not well received by your visitors. It’s a better idea to split these long pages into shorter pages which improves the page load up time.

10. Check your load time periodically – Make it a practice to check your website load time. It should be in your mental checklist to ensure a fast and error free site. Here is a website analyzer that you can use to quickly check it for your website.

Discover Magic of Entrecard U Drop I Link| New Work At Home Ideas

Have you seen a new widget on a lot of Work at Home Business blogs lately? A widget that the owners spend precious time to design and put a smashing title on and finally placing it in strategic places in their blogs? It may also come in a few sizes but the colors and pictures may differ due to owners’ fancy or creativity. But the one thing that does not change though - every one of these widgets has the unmistakably “E”. Yes, you probably guessed it – Entrecard.

Entrecard is essentially a social networking system but some of the work at home ideas being thought of in site promotion seem pleasantly unique and offer a refreshing change to bloggers.

What is Entrecard
In a nutshell:

· Entrecard is a blogging network as well as a social networking system.
· You can drop your card whenever you visit other bloggers who are members too
· Other bloggers who visit you drop their cards on your Entrecard widget
· Entrecard uses a currency called EC – Entrecard Credits
· You can use EC to buy adverts on other sites.
· Entrecard has forums that you can participate in.

Entrecard: How To Grow Your Blog
The term used in this blogging community is “drop your card” which essentially means login into Entercard and simply click the “Drop” at the blogger’s Entrecard widget. After doing so you get a polite “Thanks” so you know you’ve done it successfully. It really can’t get any easier than this don’t you think.

Drop 30-50 cards a day perhaps just to get to know how it works or who is in this blogging network. You can be sure that when you do this, a fair number of bloggers will return the favor by visiting your site or blog.

While Entrecard has made card dropping so easy, I really don’t suggest you visiting 50 sites daily just to get yourself rewarded with EC credits. Do remember that it is a social network first so you should get sociable and take some time to pick out some good sites that you may envisage working with in your work at home business. Then leave a comment as you normally would when you are networking with other bloggers or potential business partners.

Entrecard: Advertising
As an Entrecard member, you can apply to advertise on any of the blogs in the network. There are currently more than 10,000 blogs listed in the network. After you have purchased an advertisement on your chosen site, your ad will be active for a good 24 hours.

You must have enough EC credits to cover the cost of your intended ads. The price of the ads will be shown below the members’ Entrecard image on their profile. Just click the “Advertise” button found under this given price when you’ve decided to advertise on this site. You will also see a ‘wait time’ depending on how many ads there are in the queue.

Entrecard: Exchange EntreCard Credits for Money
Yes I’m really sober and you read it right all right. You can make money online here. Your EntreCard credits can be used to exchange for real money. Unlike in the past when you may have to go to eBay and sell them, you don’t have to anymore. You can sell it back to EntreCard for real cash, Of course its not going to make you very rich selling your credits, but where else could you find a Social Network giving you money in exchange for credits they gave you so easily.

On a more serious note the reason why EnterCard allows such cash exchanges is because ECs can also be purchased by members using cash and this helps to provide the overall EntreCard Credits to Cash in a balanced position. The currency exchange rate is 7.50 US Dollars for every 1000 ECs. Kudos to EntreCard for such a brilliant idea.

EntreCard: New Work at Home Ideas
EntreCard implemented its newest idea giving all members more EntreCard Credits. Since June 2, for every new blog post you published, you earn 25 ECs. This credit compensation is given to you automatically as the Entrecard system picks up your new posts from your RSS feed submitted during your registration. I really like EntreCard for some of these little things that they do, creating the buzz and excitement and another great work at home idea.

EntreCard: U Drop I Link
This widget is used exclusively by Entrecard members and I just had it installed on my blog so go ahead to take a look at it. It is not owned by EntreCard but developed by a third party and created for the main purpose of rewarding Entrecard members who visit other members’ blog.

Essentially what this widget does is that when you drop your card, it retrieves and displays the content of your Entrecard Inbox and shows the last 50 blogs which have dropped a card on it at any date. But what good does this benefit you? Well just by dropping your card, on my blog for example, your Entrecard ID is added to my Entrecard Inbox and your blog url, name and description are displayed on the widget for other bloggers to see. You get to stay on my widget until the 51st visitor drops his card on my blog. So essentially the 2 most obvious benefits are a linkback to your blog and getting some traffic coming from my blog. So feel free to drop your card on this blog at the “Drop” sign of my Entrecard widget to enjoy these benefits now. Do it fast before these spots get taken up (less than 40 now).

Quality Content
There can never be a substitution for writing original and a stellar posts. You may do your research work by visiting other internet home business blogs on the topic but every word that you now write has to be original, from you. In fact if you use a similar topic and present your views, your own perspective and offers advices, suggestions and solutions, you can be sure that you will be viewed as someone with authority on that subject.

Add Pictures to Your Post
If you’ve been a regular visitor or a subscriber to my blog, you may have noticed that I started adding pictures just before the start of my Link Building Strategy Series Posts. That’s when I found out having a picture in your blog post really brings out the message you wish to focus on and share with your readers. So searching for a somewhat relevant picture does help your cause even more. If you are unable to locate a relevant one, well just create one with your own text. The downside of adding pictures is that it takes up too much of your time. Well that’s where I can help to alleviate some of this hardship. Blog Translation - How Important is it?
Sometime ago I read an article about an interview given by Matt Cutts from Google mentioning that it is important to create a useful resource or service to attract visitors. It’s quite an interesting thought provoking statement and it does seem very true. But I was wondering how successful a blogger would be after he has created this useful resource. I mean the home business internet marketing world is pretty big and the thing that strikes me is that there could be a whole lot of people who, due to language barriers may not understand you, despite how good your resource or service is.
