I recently received an email from Jordan Cosh, from Profit-Smart Media asking me to do a review for a new product his company is releasing; It’s called “Rogue Marketing” – and while the title is painfully reminiscent of Sarah Palin’s biography, what I found when I opened the book up was little less than mind boggling.

First, to clarify, the book is about media buying – But I, like most of you, have spent the last couple of years assuming that media buys are reserved for super affiliates with massive advertising budgets.

Turns out, that’s not exactly true.

While the book is really, realllllyyyy long, what I learned was more or less fairly simple. I find sites using the instructions in the book, do a little research to match them to the right kind of offers, run through a handful of formulas to make sure I don’t lose any money – and I place the buy.

A little simplified, maybe; But all I can really say is that I’m shocked no ones published this stuff before now – Jordan says it in the book, but this is the OLDEST kind of online advertising there is. It also happens to be the cheapest; If you follow the game plan he outlines – Which is doubly surprising, given what I’d always believed about media buys in the past.

To cut it short, if your sick of burning money with PPC or having bad results with SEO, “Rogue Marketing” is certainly worth taking a look. Though from what I’m told, it’s not going to be available for long – His company is looking to groom a few hundred super affiliates for their new CPA network, and after that pull the plug on the product forever.

There seems to be no short of blogs making money with adsense or at least trying to. Indeed the way blogs are created nowadays seems to be totally different from when I first started my very first blog. My first blog was set up primarily to compliment my online business opportunities homepage, used more to promote the products I offered and as a means to effectively communicate with my readers and subscribers. Today things are pretty different. Niche marketing seems to have taken the online world by storm and micro niche blogs seem to have found their way to everyone’s lives. There’s definitely increased interest in bloggers trying to come to terms with this evolution and finding the best possible techniques in making money with adsense. To what extent this unsurpassed level of interest grows remains to be seen but I suspect it’s going to get even more exciting.

I would say for pay per lead programs, the commission is smaller compared to pay per sale programs but pay per lead affiliate programs tend to result in much higher conversions. In fact T3Leads guarantees the highest conversion rates in the industry – ranging from 1:6 to 1:9. As a result this eventually translates into big affiliate revenues.

PyraBang Is Taking The Internet By Storm

That in a nutshell is what PyraBang is aiming to achieve.

PyraBang -A New Way To Advertise Online

It does have a unique way of advertising online. The term it uses is ‘PyraWords’ which are little advertisements displayed on 1000s of websites or blogs throughout the internet. Imagine scrolling Google Adsense if you will. You are looking at one now located just above. When you post something on the network, it reaches out to about 150 websites. These ads are said to be targeted, quality and viral advertising. ‘Bangs’ work like credits much like your familiar traffic exchange. Members can view other members’ ads while the entire Internet can view these members’ ads too.

Making Money with PyraBang

You can join PyraBang as a free member or a Gold member. As a free member, for every Gold member you refer gets you $3.00 bonus. A Gold membership costs you $5.95 monthly and although what it uses as a 2X10 binary networking system seems a little complicated, I figured the passive income plan can best be shown as the following:

What are Bangs?

Bangs are just credits which you can use in PyraBang. One bang costs 1/10 of a cent or 1000 bangs equal $1.00. Gold members receive 400 bangs a month and these can be used in whatever portions to apply on their posted ads. To put things into perspective, if you post something on the network, you’ll get 1380 impressions of your post for a cost of 10 bangs or 1 penny. They can also be used for investments with other members’ ads. Gold members can purchase monthly bangs up to a maximum of 12000 bangs ($12.00). Bangs can be traded with other members for real money too.

PyraBang is a Different Type of Advertising Network

Unlike many other advertising networks that only circulate members’ ads on their own replicated pages, PyraBang is a network of 100s and 1000′s of independent websites. This seems to be a great way for members to advertise to big masses at virtually no cost as well as invest on other members’ ads to make profits on bangs.

Final Thoughts

PyraBang does seem like a good business opportunity to consider. It’s free membership is appealing but if you are one who is serious in making passive income, going for Gold is definitely recommended. It could be an evolution in the making with its unique advertising network and making money online potential.

But then what do I know since I don’t even have Adsense on my blog. Anyone who’s made money on Adsense want to give some good advice, go ahead to post your comment. But for now Clickbank PRO Ads seems a good alternative for me.

7 Interesting Facts That You Must Know About Forum Marketing

Recently I did a quick experiment on forum marketing and apart from the useful result which I will share here, the initial perception I observed was that many people are using it to drive quality visitors to their website, blog or money making products- for free.

1. Some Forum Marketing Tips

Join a forum related to your product or services. If you want to drive traffic to your website of money making niche you won’t want to get visitors from a forum related to dogs would you?. You should then join Internet Marketing forums like Warrior Forum.

Never post spam but post only useful information to share with others in the forum. In fact make your participation count. Be seen and heard as a leader or an expert in your area of expertise. Or at least this should be what you should hope to achieve at this forum.

Post regularly and answer as many questions as you can. That’s a good way to gain people’s trust. Over time people follow your recommendations and of course that’s where your forum signature links come in handy.

2. Forum Marketing and Backlinks

A very simplistic way of showing the relationship between forum marketing and backlinks is this. If you have done 1000 posts on your favorite forum and your signature is included in those posts, this means that you will get at least 1000 backlinks from Google. Well theoretically this is true but of course the quality of your post will determine your success rate at getting these backlinks. Personally I’ve written about 350 posts on Warrior Forum. Not really something to gloat about, but it’s still good enough to see lots of backlinks for my home business blog.

3. Optimize your forum posts:

When you do your posts on forums, it is a worthwhile effort to optimize your posts. This simply means just like your blog or article postings, putting keywords and bolding text at forum posts goes a long way in getting friendly with your Google bots visiting the forum. Well since Warrior Forum is a dofollow forum, it probably helps too that I always linkback to my blog posts after each post where possible. Here take a look at a screenshot I made to show how bolding text helped me:

4. Use Good Anchor Text for your Forum Signatures

I mentioned before the more you post the more backlinks you will get. It can’t get any simpler than that. However it would be your own doing if you do not ensure good anchor text that contains you keyword.

5. How To Get More Traffic From Forum Marketing

So I finally did some research on how to increase website traffic by using Internet Forums, starting with my favorite one, Warrior Forum. Truth be told, my traffic from even my favorite forum really sucks. Perhaps I was just too contented with getting the good amount of backlinks. But for those of you who have had great success over obtaining huge amount of targeted traffic from forums, you’d know it probably just take a little understanding about what people are looking for. So if you can somehow find this missing ink, Boom! you’ve got traffic!

6. My experiment to get more traffic from forum marketing

This is my experiment to find out what could possibly be that missing link for me in not getting the traffic from forum marketing. It is not intended to market a product or services to Warrior Forum, not yet anyway. It’s just my experiment to find out how to increase my visitors and traffic. Here is what I did or observed:

I selected 2 of my blog posts and started a thread featuring them. They were carefully selected using topics that were interesting enough to attract people to the posts.

My experiment result after 12 hours: More than a hundred people read my 2 posts to find out the answers to the 2 posts: How To Get Free Backlinks From eBay and How To Get Google Index New Blog In 3 Hours.
The topic of make money online interests many people in Warrior Forum as can be seen in one thread I found titled “I intend to make $10K in 7 days” which generated 9200 views in 2 weeks. Wow!

7. List of do-follow forums

Here is a good list of do-follow forums courtesy of my good friend Ben Pei. You will know that Warrior Forum is also top in his list too. Well good minds think alike.

While the good traffic to these 2 posts is of no significance as far as blog monetizing is concerned ( I got a few more subscribers though), it does show that there is enormous traffic in forum marketing waiting to be tapped. I’m pretty pleased with my experiment knowing that when I do have a hot product, or joint venture that I want launched, forum marketing is definitely one of my best options to market it with a reasonable amount of traffic expected.

Make Easy Money Online From Text Link Ads

Ever wish your work at home business blog brought in more money than it currently does now? Paid links are called advertising….”

Is it safe to join?

I did my homework on this ad firm and noted that it had testimonials from several well known and reputable SEO professionals like Aaron Wall, Brad Fallon, Rand Fishkin, among others. That in a nutshell sums up the trust it has earned from established marketers. Text Link Ads can work on static pages too

As the TLA links are loaded dynamically you cannot have them on normal (static) HTML pages. But there is a solution for that. From their FAQ:

If your website uses the Apache web server (as most Linux/UNIX hosting packages do), you can instruct the web server to treat .html (or .htm) files as PHP. To accomplish this, create a file named “.htaccess” in your root directory and add the following to it (or append it to the bottom of the file, if it already exists):

AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

(Note: if you use “.htm” files, replace the “.html” above with “.htm”)

I have not tried this yet on my homepage but I learned that the service support desk offers prompt response to all your questions should you encounter such problems.
