Ever wish your work at home business blog brought in more money than it currently does now? In my previous posts I have discussed about how a blog can be used to communicate more personally with your readers to promote your online business opportunities . But what if I tell you now you can make easy money online on auto pilot, yet serves you the way you want it to for your work at home business . Well you can with Text Link Ads on your blog.

I have ignored Text Link Ads for the past few months, not because of the controversy surrounding the buying/selling of links on websites. I just didn’t have the time then to look closely at this other form of advertising. Well it’s true that Google has been very vocal about people buying and selling links. Paid links are called advertising….”

Is it safe to join?
I did my homework on this ad firm and noted that it had testimonials from several well known and reputable SEO professionals like Aaron Wall, Brad Fallon, Rand Fishkin, among others. That in a nutshell sums up the trust it has earned from established marketers. Besides, Text Link Ads founder Patric Gavin is also a notable search marketing expert who has built a reputable online link advertising system for both publishers and advertisers. He is also a speaker at industry leading conferences including Search Engine Strategies and Webmasterword Conferences.

Make money on autopilot
Well, I joined TLA in the middle of May 2008 and in the first week of June I sold my first text link. So it only took about 3 weeks to get my first link. Not bad - I didn’t have to do anything but sign up and add a small code to my blog. The Text Link Ads system took care of the rest. The benefit of using Text Link Ads is you don’t have to look for advertisers and they don’t take up much space in you blog.

Text Link Ads can work on static pages too
As the TLA links are loaded dynamically you cannot have them on normal (static) HTML pages. But there is a solution for that. From their FAQ:

If your website uses the Apache web server (as most Linux/UNIX hosting packages do), you can instruct the web server to treat .html (or .htm) files as PHP. To accomplish this, create a file named “.htaccess” in your root directory and add the following to it (or append it to the bottom of the file, if it already exists):

AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

(Note: if you use “.htm” files, replace the “.html” above with “.htm”)

I have not tried this yet on my homepage but I learned that the service support desk offers prompt response to all your questions should you encounter such problems.

How To Make More Money Through Your Pay Per Click Advertising

Pay per click advertising has become more difficult in terms of making money online, but you can approach it in two ways. One way is for you to give it up completely and forgo whatever profits you might otherwise have reaped. The other way is to master it well to your advantage while everyone else is still complaining about it being so difficult.

Pay per click advertising and internet marketing will get even more popular as time goes by. After all, where else can you find the capability to offer your business products to millions of prospective customers within minutes at a little cost? And which other business offers you free advertising to a really targeted market?

Is A Huge Keyword Listing Good

Having a massive number of keywords is critical if you want to be successful in PPC Advertising. Having said that, don’t feel elated and fabulous about this and do nothing. Remember it is better to have a few great super performing keywords than a big list of keywords that do nothing for you.

What you can and should be doing with this huge keyword list is to monitor and find out which ones are getting impressions and generating a good click-through-rate history for your campaign. Then trim your list by getting rid of useless keywords not benefiting you. This eventually improves your overall quality score determined by Google, which is essential for good advertising campaign management and ultimately how profitable your business becomes.

Make Your Title Captivating

You should spend whatever time required to make the title look good. The title or headline you choose, is extremely important and should attract and convince the web surfer to want to read your full text which will then lead them to your landing page. Remember that there are other advertisers just like you promoting similar products or services. Your title has to be more outstanding and captivating than what they have to offer. A good approach would be to do a random search in Google to see how they are advertising so you can outsmart them.

Some Proven Techniques You Should Use:

a. Start your ads with words like “How to”, or “Here’s ….”
b. Ask a question in your title like “Want To Make $100,000 Per Month?”
c. Do a jerk like “ Don’t Join Our Program”
d. Include a keyword in your title so that Google bolds this word

Price Tag

There is no golden rule whether to put the price of your product or service in your advertisement text. However, what is more important is knowing what circumstances require your actions for inclusion or exclusion. If you are selling LCD monitor for $200 and your competitor is selling the same product for $170, do not include the price in your advertisement.

If you find a high click-through-rates without much sales conversions it may be an indication of untargeted traffic. It would be wise to change your text to include the product price. You can also remove words in text which influence people to click freely. Words include try, download, free and sale among others.

Monitor and Change

Often, people have the wrong impression that you can create an adword campaign and check on it once or twice to see if an adgroup (you should have a few in a campaign) is profitable. If it is, leave it to continue making money. If not just delete it. Unfortunately this may not be the best approach and may not only hurt your advertising campaigns, it may result in you loosing faith in pay per click advertising – for the wrong reasons.

You should monitor all your pay per click campaigns closely daily even if they are already profitable and be ready to adjust your settings accordingly. In this way, you can be sure that your profitable keywords are always displaying on the first results page of the search engine. This would ensure you have a high conversion rate making your pay per click advertising campaigns profitable and on track to a successful internet marketing home business.
